Highlights from Our Regional Networking Breakfast
Last Friday, more than 40 P&C and business leaders from across Albury gathered at Atura Albury for our Regional Networking Breakfast. At time2talk Leadership, we are deeply invested in building and nurturing our growing P&C community, and events like this are an important opportunity to strengthen those connections, share practical insights, and support one another through the challenges facing our region.
The session was facilitated by Lead Facilitator Tania Le Page and our Director Sharon Kneale, with a highly engaged panel featuring:
- Tracy McCrohan (Gateway Health)
- Cate Stevens (Albury City Council)
- Glenys Whitehead (Bank WAW)
We also introduced our newest team member, Alby Byers, who joins time2talk Leadership as our Head of Learning, Digital and Innovation.

The Leadership Reality in a Shifting Landscape
Sharon opened the session by reflecting on the privilege and responsibility of leadership, particularly in a climate shaped by rising costs, rapid change, and increasing pressure on organisations and individuals.
Across the room, several themes emerged:
- Connection, empathy, communication, and clarity remain the most powerful tools available, even when external factors are outside a leader’s control.
- Leaders are managing five generations in the workplace, each with different expectations, communication styles, and levels of confidence with technology.
- Regional organisations are navigating additional pressures such as housing shortages, talent constraints, weather-related disruptions, and smaller population pools.
What Our Community Shared: Challenges and Opportunities
The morning was highly interactive, with participants collaborating on the challenges emerging across the region. Once the most common challenges were identified the network was asked to identify which they most connected with, here are the results.

Participants also shared what is helping them manage uncertainty. Their responses included transparent communication, leaning on peer networks, maintaining structure and clarity, practising mindfulness, building supportive relationships, and collaborating across teams and organisations.
When asked about the opportunities that uncertainty can create, the room identified innovation, new ideas, capability development, resilience building, value alignment, curiosity, and new ways of working as the strongest themes.
A Community Willing to Lean In
One of the strongest reflections from the session was the collective willingness of local leaders to learn from one another. The room brought together professionals from health, retail, local government, finance, education, and community services. Their willingness to share openly reinforced a powerful message. No one held back, and no one was left behind. This is exactly why the time2talk Leadership P&C Network exists.
